Beekman St

The Beekman, located in New York City’s Financial District, is home to 66 residential units and one luxurious single-bedroom apartment reimagined by Legeard Studio. This repeat client called upon Legeard to lead the cosmetic renovations to epitomize opulence within a space with restricted square footage. Warm wood tones and variations of white maintain an overall clean and sophisticated look throughout. Incorporating the requested dining room into the living room area via a custom, tall breakfast table set against the curtain wall allows the open space to breathe and flow better; already bright and airy from the welcoming natural light. In the bedroom, indirect lighting develops a quiet, private space to relax and unwind, while custom wardrobes help recreate a boutique hotel experience, further supported by the custom oak cabinetry in the sand-toned bathroom. Thoughtful accents and strategic additions—refinished, bronze-patinated oak kitchen cabinets, and an upholstered headboard—were small design choices that created a large visual impact and reduced the project’s completion timeline.
