KYU
Designed to pull you in and concentrate on your senses, from the moment you walk in, to the end of your dining experience, this wood-fired Asian fusion restaurant blends eastern and western cultures seamlessly – from the cuisine to the design and ambiance. The design uses elements of wabi-sabi with the rarefaction of modern-day New York. Rather than masking imperfections, Legeard Studio embraced irregularity and blemishes – while highlighting flaws in the gold and bronze finishes. The Versailles oak wood panels evoke a warm atmosphere, while the sapphire seating and curtains flutter KYU’s lounge area with a grounding coolness. This interior's unique proximity of earth tones to velvet blues, concrete walls to open fire kitchens, and dark hues to soft lights, leave no sensual detail unattended.
