Park Avenue I
In this four-bedroom and four-and-a-half bath condo, Legeard Studio sought to design a sleek-yet-bold space that exudes sophistication in Manhattan’s skyline-defining building. At 4,000 sq. ft, each room is clad with custom pieces and simple yet luxurious touches, particularly in the formal dining room. Here, a marble countertop and Plexi-bays create a floating-like experience, while the caned back and sculptural silhouette of the 1960s mid-century modern chairs are juxtaposed against the custom metal console. In the primary bedroom suite, mid-century wood immerses the room with warm tones while a round floating bathtub is framed in marble and strategically placed on the panoramic floor-to-ceiling window in the bathroom. In the kitchen, Legeard Studio modified the island to incorporate a painted lacquered white breakfast table that overlooks Central Park. A private media room at the entrance features a custom banquette and large TV with a sculptural, dark oak bookcase. Legeard Studio employed thoughtful design moves to fulfill the client’s need for a calm space that maximizes the city views and the Hudson River.
