What started as a cosmetic overhaul of this SoHo residence quickly became a two-phase gut renovation after the client, a young professional, saw Legeard Studio’s extensive custom capabilities. Initially built in 1915, this sprawling residence sits on Lispenard Street, a beautiful, pre-war, five-story building with lofts that blend exquisite design with modern practicality. As the client’s second residence, Legeard Studio showcased creativity through a muted palette, polished lines, and custom-made furniture and millwork at every turn. The home opens into the living room, dining room, and all-white kitchen, which features a large center island for additional cooking and prep space. The adjacent dining area provides a layer of contrast with an expertly-crafted finish by the artisans at Groupe Gohard while the plaster is designed with a Marmorino technique and features natural limestone, powdered marble, and fine sand. This home perfectly demonstrates Legeard’s ability to curate high-end residences through bespoke, custom-made pieces and a combination of timeless design and artful details.
