When a busy French comedian was looking to redesign his three-bedroom apartment, he turned to Legeard Studio to create the perfect oasis to rest and relax. After a deep dive into the client’s wants and needs, as well as seeing Legeard’s extensive custom capabilities, this cosmetic project quickly turned into a gut renovation to create the calm, comfortable environment he craved. While the client was initially drawn to the Scandinavian style, Legeard was able to help him further define his aesthetic and guided him to find his true Brazilian mid-century modern style, which can be seen through the furnishings. To fulfill the client’s needs, Legeard completely redesigned the kitchen into an open, flowing space with a marble countertop and oak and bronze cabinets, keeping with the neutral-toned theme of the space. The primary bedroom sits on the opposite side of the apartment with a custom wooden headboard with bronze inserts. An oak library is integrated with artwork, while a piano in the living room sits beautifully with an oversized sofa, a custom coffee table, and an integrated TV above the fireplace. In the nursery, custom clouds are handpainted on the wall by a famous artist, further adding to the element of calmness.
